Renowned businessman, Founder/Owner of LibertyTV Nigeria and four Radio FM stations, Alhaji (Dr.) Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, was yesterday presented with the award of the ‘Media Personality of the Year 2021’ by the massive, voting by Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.

Dr. Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan, who owns four Radio FM stations, 91.7 FM Kaduna, 103.3.3 FM Abuja 103.3, FM Kano Liberty Entertainment TV Channel, Kano, and online newspapers Voice of Liberty and Muryar Yanci, was voted in a 14-day Leadership Excellence Awards voting, which was conducted by Nigerians via on-line, ahead of three other nominees.
The versatile and veteran broadcaster defeated John Momoh, of Channels TV, Editor-in-Chief, ThisDay newspapers, Nduka Obaigbena, of Arise TV and Mo Obudu, of Ebony TV, to clinch the position.
The 2021 edition award presentation, the third in a row, was held at the Sheraton Hotel, in Abuja.
The prestigious Leadership & Excellence Awards is the well-publicised and most anticipated award event organised by the foremost African community TV/Online news platform, Igbere Television.

The Awards, which recognises and honours the outstanding impacts of leaders across several sectors and industries in Nigeria, is endorsed by the African Union, (AU), the Economic, Social and Cultural Council, (AU-ECOSOCC), an advisory body of the African Union, (AU), designed to give Civil Society Organisations, (CSOs) a voice within the AU institutions and decision-making processes.
